There was a discrepancy as to whether Anacardium was the nut of the Semecarpus anacardium, or the Marking-nut Tree, or the seed of the Avicenna tomentosa, or Malacca bean, but as Hahnemann described the nut, it leaves no doubt that he was talking about the Semecarpus anacardium.

Bismuth is a remedy which should be thought of in cases where the focus of the problem lies in the stomach region. Severe stomach pain of whatever origin is a strong indicator for this remedy, particularly in cases of pure gastritis, and inflammation of the mucous lining of the stomach. According to Prof. G. Vithoulkas’ theory of “Levels of Health”, patients are classified into different levels of health. The criteria used for this classification are based on the immune responses of the body to different disease agents and treatments.
It has been observed that sometimes after an acute disease, an autoimmune disease emerges, which has a direct relation to the acute and also to the medications used in the case. Such a reaction usually is attributed to the side effects of the medication. The Controversy Over the “Memory of Water” (George Vithoulkas)
For a very long time, the idea of the “memory of water” tantalized not only the homeopathic community, but also serious scientists and researchers like Luc Antoine Montagnier, a recipient of the Nobel Prize.
This misconception originated from an experiment conducted by the famous allergologist, Dr. Jacques Benveniste. He claimed to have shown in an in vitro experiment that highly dilute potencies of bee poison (apis mellifica), even beyond the Avogadro number, are capable of producing structural changes in living organisms in the same way that the real poison from the bee can bring these changes about, being the actual degranulation of basophils. His paper was published in Nature under an obligation to prove his findings in front of a scientific committee in his own laboratory. Benveniste could not reproduce the results that his team was claiming.
When a similar experiment was repeated by a different group of scientists and filmed by the BBC, it also failed.

The Future of Homeopathy – A Perspective View
There is an overall impression that homeopathy is used today by millions of people and practiced by hundreds of thousands of practitioners all over the world … which is true! Whether the practitioners are capable of using this new force in medicine in an appropriate way is a totally different story. Getting in touch with the correct remedy – Homeopathic Case Taking Series: George Vithoulkas
In order to find the right remedy, the practitioner has to understand the importance of the symptoms given and of those withheld. He must also meet certain inner conditions if the patient is to trust him.
To find the right homœopathic remedy, the simillimum as it is called, means to save the patient much suffering. It means that he* is given a great boon: the possibility of becoming healthy and happy once again.
A healthy person is one who is free on all three levels of his existence — mental, emotional, and physical — and is therefore able to have a sense of well-being, a condition vital to a true sense of happiness.
